Biography

Owen Duguid is a member of the Real Estate practice group at O’Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP. Owen maintains a general residential, commercial and municipal real estate practice covering all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, secured financing, construction contracts, leasing and licensing.

Owen recognizes that dealings with real property are often multi-faceted and tend to involve a number of different parties and competing interests. Although his clients range from municipalities to individuals buying their first home, he employs the same communicative and practical approach across his practice. His creativity and negotiating skills are applied when necessary, and his responsiveness to his clients is a constant.

Owen earned a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, specializing in Geomatics and Urban Settlement Systems. Having been exposed to both planning and environmental law curriculum while at Waterloo, Owen chose to pursue his law degree at Queen’s University. His educational interests and experience have lent themselves to the development of his Real Estate practice.
