Biography

Frank joined O’Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP in 2022 and brings to the Business Law group extensive experience and expertise in corporate and commercial law particularly in the areas of business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, financing and investments, corporate reorganizations and shareholder matters. 

Frank has worked with clients ranging from start-ups to multi-national businesses and has advised boards of directors, C-suite executives and management teams on day-to-day matters, transactions and business-critical matters. He enjoys assisting clients in developing solutions and achieving successful outcomes. He is committed to delivering Bay Street results to clients through Main Street relationships. 

Frank has practised at a senior level with three major national business law firms in Toronto and Calgary. Over his years of practice, he has been recognized as a leading corporate and commercial, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance lawyer by national and international legal ranking organizations. He has lectured on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance at the law faculties of three Ontario universities. 

In addition to his private practice experience, Frank has served as the General Counsel at the Ontario Securities Commission and, more recently, as a Senior Legal Counsel at the Commission. Frank was also an Assistant Deputy Minister in the Ontario Ministry of Finance dealing with financial services and securities regulatory policy and was the Executive Director of a leading national not-for-profit organization advocating for the rights of financial consumers and retail investors. 

Frank and his wife enjoy living in Oakville, exploring the Oakville waterfront with their dog and spending time with their three adult children and six grandchildren. Frank can be guilty of binge-watching favourite TV shows or series and is a keen sports fan and a not-so-good participant.
