Elizabeth Akan

Elizabeth is an internationally trained lawyer with over 10 years of experience. Upon relocating to Canada, Elizabeth began the process of qualifying to practice as a lawyer in Ontario, while simultaneous working at a reputable Estates Law firm in Oakville where she developed a passion for estate planning law. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022 and continued to practice as a Wills and Estate Planning associate.

As part of the Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning team at O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP, Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and dedication to providing comprehensive legal advice and guidance to clients.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor Arts degree from Nigeria, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the United Kingdom. Elizabeth's academic achievements, coupled with her commitment to delivering exceptional service and her expertise in estate planning make her an invaluable resource for clients seeking guidance in this area of law.

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, and watching crime drama series.
